Misinformation

Bows or Stern sticking out of shed

For nearly 3 years UK Docks were allowed to work on the ferry with its stern (or bows) poking out of the shed flouting the condition 3 or 4. On December 18th 2016 condition 5 ( Sunday working without notice) was flouted as well. Although there were many complaints about it at the time, the Council dismissed them  all as allegations.

Not only were the footings laid nearly a meter wider than planned, there were six sets of footings laid in 2001 when permission  was given for a shed of five frames.

The inland set were put to use in August 2017 and when challenged by the local MP and one of the more diligent Councillors in 2019, UK Docks said they had been given retrospective planning permission.

We now know this to be a lie but the Council gloss over this by saying all complaints relating to UK Docks have been exhausted. That is only an opinion: UK Docks now have a shed 27.5m long but were only given permission for one of 22m so the complaint that it is too long has not even begun to be  been investigated so how can it be exhausted!
