VISION:
Successfully to ensure that the banks of the lower reaches of the River Tyne are developed with sensitivity to the unique history, heritage, and character of the area, and for the benefit, health, and well-being of local residents, businesses, employees, visitors, and future generations.
AIMS:
To work to ensure that decisions about the improvement to and management of developments within the area covered (See “Geography” below) reflect and respond to local needs;
To work to ensure that local people and visitors attracted to the area are well informed of existing plans concerning the development of the banks of the lower reaches of the River Tyne;
To work to ensure that local people and visitors attracted to the area are engaged in the plans to develop the area for the benefit, health and well-being of local residents, businesses, employees, visitors, and future generations;
To work to ensure that local people and visitors attracted to the area are properly consulted and their views and opinions listened to and acted upon by planners, developers, land agents, local authorities and agencies, national authorities and agencies, and government.

There is another 31/2pages in the Constitution but the bit above will do to show that while the TGA was not a Residents Association, contesting the development at UK Docks does, however, came within its remit.
