The demolition of the Beacon: This eventually went to Committee at the end of 2015 and the first thing the promoter who happened to be the Principal Planning Officer said was that there were only 5 protestors. The three who had decided to turn up to the meeting to make their views known, plus 2 observers of the process.
The Committee decided to visit the site but the protestors were not invited. Nor were their observations recorded and by this means they were censored.
