2014

July – There was no discussion about drawing, 8296/14, associated with approval of ST114613COND Decision Notice

07.07.14 Letter to CEO Stage III
08.07.14 Meeting in Town Hall with the Head of Development Services to discuss a) 8296/14 and b) the full sized drawing seen on Nov 25th and alluded to in Stage II response.
The drawings were not tabled at the meeting which was very disappointing to say the least.
On the bright side it must mean that they are significant and probably show that the council officers have been a little bit naughty in their responses about the height of the cover or shed.
10.07.14 Correspondence with the Head of Development Services
14.7.14 A leaflet about the plans to expand the boatyard is distributed around Harbour View, Greens Place and on the North Side.
25.09.14 Stage III reply essentially confirming Stage II reply.
21.11.14 Email to Customer Advocacy asking who had signed off the shed.
24.11.14 South Tyneside Council accept that the structure in question does not have planning permission. This is unequivocal, there are no qualifiers.

A ‘Stage 3’ Response dated 25 September 2014, gave rather the opposite impression. It also defended the Council’s Head of Development Services’ decision that it was not expedient to take planning enforcement action with respect to this development.

12.12.14 Initiate Proceedings with Local Government Ombudsman by completing their Complaint Form.
