03.02.2014 I felt that the Planning Office were ‘Stone Walling’ again by trying to sideline me into the complaints system instead of replying to my enquiries. The Principal Planning Officer had just kept repeating that the dimensions of the shelter had been measured and they were compliant. The Planning Manager went further with the misrepresentation of the height. I tried a new approach and replied by using a statement/response format and I take great trouble to explain why the gable shown in 8296/14 is the river end.
13.02.14 Breakthrough in response from the Planning Manager!
Point 3 of his email: the current structure is not built to “approved” plans” but he adds a lie as spoiler, “show a gable elevation of the structure (not drawn to scale).
Please see the explanation of the planned height of the river gable end being 15.5m using drawing 8296/14
14.02.14 I write, 14-Feb-14 “Thank you for your reply. I am in consultation with other members of the local community who are also very concerned about the River Drive Development. We will respond to you further in due course”.

With the admission from the Planning Manager, a meeting of Residents (about 30 perhaps) was convened on 3rd Mar 2014 at SSSC Littlehaven and the meeting of the Residents decided:- To raise a petition and a letter to be sent to Planning Office requesting meeting with council officials to explain their actions and the work on the shed to be stopped till then.
The letter was written – see March an April and to clarify matters the authorised drawing from 1996 was referenced. It gives the height of the landward end of the shed as 12.7m.
