Gill Hayton, a Council Solicitor, had been misinformed by the same group of people that gave misinformation/misrepresentation (lied) to the Local Government Ombudsman. The Chair of the Tyne Gateway Assn and the Principal Planning Officer contrived, with the help of Cllr Anglin to hide the truth about UK Dock’s Enclosure (shed) on their slipway off River Drive.
The truth was that the shed was nearly three meters taller than permitted and I very carefully explained that to her but in these parlous times she was probably presented the choice between accepting what the plans and drawings say or backing the fraudsters led by Councillor Anglin and the Planning Officer. She did that by repeating the misinformation given to the Ombudsman.
She did say that I could ask the Head of Legal Services to review her decision if I was dissatisfied and he was asked to look at her response but I suspected it would end up in the waste bin so it was published.
It remains there along with the original complaint and will remain there until the corruption in the Town Hall is tackled.

Hi Paul, You received a copy because I put the local people who had protested from the early days into the blind copy line (BCC:). It's a standard method used by clubs and small organisations for distributing important notices. There are quite a lot of you at the moment and if anyone wants to write to you all with any more misinformation about Mr Wilson's boat shed they can make their own list. |

To D and J: "Anyway one of the Council's Solicitors has eventually responded to my complaint about Cllr Anglin and I think the tipping point was when I mentioned Haig and Watson. There are a lot of things wrong with their joint development 71/72 Greens Place. The roof top balcony for a start and I took that to the LGO and discovered that they had been misinformed over that as well. I've been through the process again and worked out how they cover their tracks. We are not changing history it is the Council rewriting it with the aid of the LGO which is central to the corruption taking place. |

19-Sep | 19-Sep Dear Monitoring Officer, I have a complaint about the conduct of Councillor John Anglin re the Town Hall meeting 25-Nov-13. A meeting in November 2013 with the Council was arranged by Councillor Anglin, about the height and width of the cover on UK Docks slipway on River Drive in South Shields and to get any evidence that it had been built to plan but we were told that it was compliant i.e. it had been approved and the meeting promptly moved on to speculation about further expansion of the yard. It appeared that there was no agenda for the meeting (one could say that there was none needed as the meeting had been arranged to determine whether the cover was built to authorised plans or not), there were no minutes taken (attachment 1) and no documentation provided to back up the claim that it met the second condition of the grant in 1996. It transpired that it did not; it was built withoutplanning permission being both too high and too wide. No answer – not even acknowleged. Conduct of Cllr A to MO |

The Council have have told the MP – see response from MP re JA, 6-Sep-17 – that they will no longer correspond on previous issues relating to the boat yard and its development and will now only address any new issues which arise. This appears to include misconduct by STC staff and Councillors.

Worked out that the suggestion by the Solicitor that we go for ‘the Council misled the Ombudsman’ was sound because it was easy to prove, the authorised drawings say one thing but the South Tyneside Council tell the Ombudsman is written down in their findings and it is usually a direct contradiction.
