Rejoinder

UK Dock’s boatshed on River Drive is built somewhat bigger than planned and even South Tyneside Council admit it has been built without planning permission.

They appear to be saying that it is only little bit wider but no taller than planned. In fact it is 2.7m taller and nearly a meter wider than planned according to the drawings seen.

The Council have even managed to persuade the LGO that the variation to plan is of no material importance and shed can stand.

The problems the protesters have is that UK Docks provided plans which deceived the Council who, contrary to the evidence,  say that they were approved. These drawings do not agree with the ones provided by the agents and these are misrepresented to enquirers by the Council.

The latest bit of misinformation comes from the manager of Customer Complaints.

“There is no evidence to suggest that there has been deliberate misinformation provided by Council officers to the Local Government Ombudsman.”
